Wounded Warriors ships institutional-funding infrastructure for foundations + DAF advisors + corporate CSR teams

THE WOODLANDS, TX — Wounded Warriors (Texas EIN 86-1336741, d/b/a Warriors Fund) today released a complete institutional-funding infrastructure layer designed to remove every operational friction point between a foundation officer or DAF advisor and a funded grant.

The release covers five long-form, foundation-ready landing pages — one per direct-aid program — alongside a machine-readable Schema.org catalog that DAF analytics teams and AI agents can ingest programmatically.

What shipped:

Machine-readable infrastructure:

"Foundation officers and DAF advisors don't read a homepage with five competing programs — they map their portfolio mandate to specific cause areas and want a deep link to that cause area. So we built a deep link per program. Each one is built for the questions a program officer actually asks: what's the funding ask, what's the disbursement model, what are the sourced statistics, how do you measure outcomes, what's the EIN, what's the wire address. We built the infrastructure that closes the gap between a funder's interest and a funded grant." — Dillon Parkes, Founder & President

Anti-mis-routing surfaces shipped: /find-us, /donate/check, /charity-data

Multiple US 501(c)(3) charities share the "Wounded Warriors" name pattern, and DAF portals + matching-gift platforms typically order results by gift volume — meaning a name-only search may surface a same-named organization first. Wounded Warriors today shipped a three-page donor-routing layer designed to solve this exact problem.

What shipped:

Why this matters: banks route by EIN, not name. Without an EIN-first search workflow, donor-advised-fund grant recommendations and matching-gift requests can be silently mis-routed to a different organization with a similar name — a common problem in the veteran-aid sector. These pages are designed to surface the canonical EIN at every donor decision point.

Wounded Warriors becomes one of the first US veteran nonprofits with a 42-tool Model Context Protocol server

THE WOODLANDS, TX — Wounded Warriors (Texas EIN 86-1336741, d/b/a Warriors Fund), a 501(c)(3) public charity, today expanded its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to 42 specialized tools — making it among the first US veteran-aid nonprofits to operate such infrastructure at scale.

The MCP server lets AI assistants — Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, and any MCP-compatible agent — query the organization's 145,200-record veteran-resource directory directly. When a veteran asks an AI assistant for help, the AI can call tools like check_eligibility, find_cvso, get_zip_overview, or veteran_crisis_resources and return verified information in milliseconds.

"Veterans deserve the same caliber of digital tools as any tech-company customer. The 17 veterans dying by suicide each day aren't saved by another GoFundMe — they're saved by the AI assistant their family is talking to actually knowing where the nearest VA Vet Center is, what 988 + Press 1 does, and which CVSO files claims for free in their county. We built the infrastructure that makes that conversation accurate." — Dillon Parkes, Founder & President

FIPS-tract geocoding reaches 99.92% — highest tract-level resolution of any US veteran nonprofit

Wounded Warriors today completed a Census Geocoder reverse-lookup backfill, raising tract-level geocoding from 74.4% to 99.92% across the directory's 109,400 records. This means nearly every veteran-aid resource in the directory is now geo-resolved to neighborhood-level precision (FIPS state/county/tract).

The achievement enables tract-level service-desert detection, neighborhood-grain rent-burden analysis, and joining with CDC PLACES health prevalence data — capabilities other US veteran-serving organizations lack.

Verify: /api/health-status shows live FIPS coverage statistics.

Wounded Warriors publishes 4 open datasets, totaling ~265,000 records under CC-BY 4.0

Wounded Warriors today released one of the largest open veteran-data layers in the country. Four datasets totaling approximately 265,000 records joined across federal sources:

All datasets are FIPS-tract keyed, machine-queryable via REST + 42-tool MCP server, indexed for Google Dataset Search via Schema.org Dataset markup, and harvestable by federal Data.gov via Project Open Data v1.1 (DCAT) catalog.

Cite the data: /api/citations returns BibTeX, APA, MLA, Chicago, and RIS citation strings.

The seal recognizes financial transparency, governance disclosure, mission clarity, and impact reporting.

Veteran resource directory crosses 109,400 verified records

Wounded Warriors crossed the 145,200-record mark in February 2026, becoming one of the largest open, machine-queryable veteran-resource directories in the United States. The directory aggregates 80,800+ veteran-focused resources (VA hospitals, clinics, vet centers, benefits offices, mental health, housing, employment, VSOs) plus 64,300+ general-healthcare providers that accept veterans (CMS-certified nursing homes, home-health agencies, hospices, dialysis centers, HRSA Federally Qualified Health Centers).

Every record is geocoded, URL-health-monitored, phone-verified, and (for nonprofit records) ProPublica Form 990 cross-referenced.
