Dillon Parkes

Founder, President & Director

Founder of Wounded Warriors / Warriors Fund. Full-stack developer; built the entire 100,437-record open-data veteran-resource directory and 41-tool MCP server end-to-end. Texas-based.

Prior background: full-stack engineering. Founded Wounded Warriors in 2021. Holds full operational responsibility while board recruiting expands the governance group.

Active Board Recruiting

Wounded Warriors is actively recruiting additional directors to strengthen governance, oversight, and strategic capacity. The seats below are open. Interested candidates should email partnerships@warriorsfund.org.

Director Seat: Healthcare / VA Medicine

Profile: former VA leader, military medical officer, public health professor, or VA-affiliated clinician with governance experience.

Director Seat: Defense Industry

Profile: defense-industry executive (Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, RTX, GD, L3Harris) bringing strategic networks for corporate matching and sponsorship pipelines.

Director Seat: Technology / AI

Profile: AI-platform executive, technology investor, or founder bringing experience scaling AI agent infrastructure or open-data platforms.

Director Seat: Finance / Audit

Profile: CPA, audit partner, family-office director, or nonprofit-CFO experience. Will lead Audit Committee and chair the annual financial review.

Director Seat: Veteran Community

Profile: combat veteran, gold-star family member, MSO senior leader (VFW, American Legion, DAV, AMVETS), or veteran-policy advocate.

What we ask of directors

Quarterly board meetings (typically Zoom; one annual in-person)
Strategic guidance and network-opening (foundations, corporate partners, AI platforms)
Audit Committee participation for one director
Personal annual gift of any size as a give-or-get expectation
Public association — your name appears on this page and in our Form 990 Schedule O

Advisory Board (separate from governance Board)

In addition to governance directors, we're recruiting an Advisory Board with subject-matter expertise in healthcare, defense, tech, philanthropy, veteran community, and academia. Lower time commitment than governance Board, but high-leverage strategic input. See /endorsements for active advisory seats.
